On 9th Jan 2021, we hosted Minister Shanmugan in a dialogue. He shared his insights on the latest hot button topics, like how the government is handling COVID-19 and how can we expect to recover from it. He did not shy away from addressing the concerns on personal data security from the Trace Together tokens, and how we need to balance fiscal prudence while helping businesses and individuals tide through the difficult period.
The key takeaway message was that we are all in this together as a nation and a people. The pandemic had uncovered the ugly sides of people, but it had also revealed the resilience and empathy that we Singaporeans can muster.
